Ariana Grande knows that the show must go on.
The 21-year-old singer claims she ‘almost died’ when she got caught in a malfunctioning lift during opening night of her The Honeymoon Tour in Kansas City on Wednesday.
However, the Problem hitmaker kept right on singing her hit, Love Me Harder.

She detailed the incident in a Youtube video posted on Thursday night, showing her behind the scenes at the show.
A very flustered Ariana wailed to her friends and colleagues that she ‘almost died’ as they reenacted her dexterous maneuvers to avoid falling victim to the malfunctioning equipment.
The singer then explained what happened: ‘I’m supposed to be going up in my lift for Love Me Harder, like in this wooden thing that raises up.

‘So the wooden thing breaks and goes like this!’
She gestured to show how the platform snapped from a horizontal to a vertical position.
‘I’m about to be crushed by mechanical, by metal s*** and by wood and stuff, and I go like this and grab this thing.’
Ariana held tight to a beam above her head, showing how she dangled as the lift moved upward, before she was rescued by crew members.
Later in the video, the brunette beauty added: ‘I didn’t drop the mic. I was like, “Oh I gotta keep singing.”‘

After the show, Ariana tweeted: ‘We did it!!!! I ALMOST DIED ONCE BUT OTHER THAN THAT IT FELT PRETTY GOOD! i love u kansas city. so much. thank u for putting up w my nerves.
